Let’s give this a go….

Who would have thought I would be trying my hand at writing a blog for my very own website. Me, a 30 year old with dyslexia (and yes I did just google how to spell that). So please no judgement on my spelling or grammar, let alone what I’m actually babbling on about.

So let’s keep it simple to start with and go ahead and introduce myself.

My name is Sarah, I’m 30 years old, I’m a triplet (two brothers) I know I felt outnumbered, first time mumma to my gorgeous little boy, and my little fur babies, I’m married and currently navigating my way through life with a new bubba, trying to get my business to where I want it to be and also just trying to find my way through adult life. When did you start to feel like an adult? Do you ever feel like an adult?

I have always had a passion for photography since being in school. I was never good at school, I worked best being hands on and creating something. I remember my first DSLR camera back when in 2011 when I 17years old. To this day I still own this camera. I attended college to learn more and improve my skills, but like I knew already I was never good at school. I was more of a practical learner, so started offering photoshoots to friends and family and really anyone who let me point a camera at them.

I started photographing live music events, photographing bands like Kids In Glass Houses, Hands Like Houses and Sleeping with Sirens. As you can tell my personal music taste shown through my photography and who I love to shoot. I had the opportunity to photograph Slam Dunk Festival and Hit the Deck Festival.

Fast forward, as we all know life got in the way and things happen. I still loved taking my camera out and capturing those moments. Throughout the years I never lost my passion for it. I continue and tried my hand at product photography and also wedding photography. Which has continued to this day. I had my first paid wedding job back in 2013, I was so nervous. My photography assistant was even my dad. It went so well and I thought to myself maybe one day I could this. I needed to improve my skills and also gain alot of confidence in the mean time.

I also ended up photographing my friends wedding and also my brothers wedding over in America which was defiantly a high light.

Moving right forward to the last few years, lots and lots photos taken. From animals, friends and family to product shots.

In 2022 I told myself no more messing around let’s get serious and give this a crack. I needed to have the confidence in myself, just like a lot of other people seem to have.

Here we are, building my business and trying to get seen and enjoy myself along the way. I love what I do. From newborn and family shoots to weddings aswell.

I’m trying my hand at blog writing which I’ve never done before and also hoping to try other things and try and put myself out there abit more.

SO…. lets see.

Who’s going to follow along?

S. x
